My new favorite song is Starlight by Muse. I've come to find that I love to hear piano in a song. If I ever were to be in a band (I'm not going to be) then I would expect there to be a piano or keyboard player. I love the piano part in Starlight. It's sounds great like in Coldplay songs or the song by Keane called Somewhere Only We Know. I would really like to make a new compilation CD with Starlight and Somewhere Only We Know and go from there.
Far away, this ship is taking me far away, far away from my memories, of the people who care if I live or die....
If your not into rock then I can understand how you might not like that song. That's all for now. I have things to do and I need to go home.

What's this blog for...?
I just realized what an idiot I am. I designed this website to write about music. To write about what? First of all I can't afford to buy much music and I hardly listen to the radio. So even if I were to find out about new music and how would I get to listen to it? So just to give you a heads up, if you were checking this blog out to find out about new music, well I got news for you, I hope I can find out about it in order to tell you but there's definitely no gurantees. Will right about what I'm listening to now soon though.

My favorite songs 1/The Postal Service
What are my favorite songs? I don't really know. I feel like I'm sometimes just behind in music. I barely listen to the radio and as of now I don't have cable tv. I was using the music channel on cable to be my trusty place to find out about new music. But even then I never watched it enough to know. What is the lastest greatest alternative rock (my fav. music)? I'll have to get back to you on that. But I can tell you as of now what my fav. songs are. Of course later they might change.
One of my favorites (and mind you I don't nessecarily keep up with music as I should so these could be old songs) is Such Great Heights by The Postal Service. I was thinking the band no longer existed as The Postal Service as a matter of fact but I now read the truth. What I had been thinking the whole time is that they had to change their name because the US Postal Service didn't like their name being used so they changed their name to Death Cab for Cutie. I like Death Cab for Cutie but they only have the singer from The Postal Service so it makes it two seperate bands with the same vocalist. Here's something else which clears things up from Wikipedia: "After negotiations, the USPS relented, allowing the band use of the trademark in exchange for promotional efforts on behalf of the USPS and a performance at their annual National Executive Conference. Additionally, the USPS website sells the band's CDs." And in case your wondering what kind of music they play, well they play electronic indie pop. I found out about them from a co-worker where I last worked. She had some good taste in music and that was one of them. When she played the CD I recognized the song Such Great Heights (don't know where from). I want to get their CD but the music store I go to can't get CD's from Sub Pop Records which is the record company who makes the PS CDs. Anyways, you can download their song for free as I did on limewire. Can you believe that? We shouldn't download music for free right but then the music store can't get me the CD so what choice do I have? I have no other option but to go the illegal way. Well maybe their are other options but I haven't looked into it. But you might want to hear that song and see if it is as good to you as it is to me. It kinda makes you wanna dance or just lift your spirits somehow?

Music messing with the mind?
Music is great. The music you like is great. But you have to wonder, does music mess with your mind. Honestly I think it can but not in every case, at least not in mine.
Suresh, whom I work with said this to me and to the other guys I work once while we were having drinks. I kinda lost what he said but I just asked him again. What he was basically saying is that most people just listen to music for the sake of listening to it but if you ananlyze/study it you might see the darker side of the music. The side that's not just fun but complicated...I presume. Sometimes people take music too seriously and too literally. Some live their life by it. Music can get complicated or change you. For some it does non of that. That's because they are not obsessed. They don't listen to a certain piece of music day in and day out. I have to tell you, music may affect me but not that much. Sure I am obsessed but then again, it's all just for pleasure purposes only. I leave it at that. I enjoy it, I sing to it (always wanting to know the lyrics of songs) and I dance to it. But for me it's just a song. Someone wanted to send across a message in a song but that message is not really directed to me. And if it was I would just ignore it and just simply enjoy it. That's how it is for me. But then as Suresh was saying, there could be another side to it. It could mess with your mind with a sort of subliminal message. What is the real meaning behind it? Sure it's just a song but what kind of song? Suresh said or Hisham (another guy I work with) said there was a song called Black Sunday and a few people who listened to that song (probably too much) commited suicide some days later. That might be some sort of subliminal message but who knows. I don't and I don't want to find out. Commiting suicide over a song? That's just crazy.
So the moral of the story is you should stick to simpler music which won't mess with your head. That is something I won't be doing though because some simpler music is too boring. Another thing, try not to take it to seriously and just enjoy it. That's what I need to do.

Music Is My Mission
I really like music. I listen to music almost every day. I do believe music can be the sound for the sound in a way. Who doesn't like music? If your one of them let me know.
Although I like music so much I don't know much about it. I mostly listen to the radio or watch the music channel to find out about new music. So there are plenty of times where there is a song I like but I don't know the name or the artist. With this blog I hope to find out more about music. When I write on this blog, music is my mission. If you've been to my profile then you know what kinda music I like. It all basically a mixture. I like a little of everything but I like more of some music then others. The music I listen to the most is Alternative rock. At moment I am at work and I was just listening to Coldplay and Keane whom I like as well as whatever which my work mate was playing. Most of the time he has a good taste in music but sometimes it gets boring listening to same music again and again. I am sometimes picky when it comes to music. I think we all sort of are, at least my work mate sometimes is. Well now the music is off and he is playing the ukulele. He is a musician for fun. I am as well you could say because I play songs on the piano but they are very few and they are memorized.
