My favorite songs 1/The Postal Service

What are my favorite songs? I don't really know. I feel like I'm sometimes just behind in music. I barely listen to the radio and as of now I don't have cable tv. I was using the music channel on cable to be my trusty place to find out about new music. But even then I never watched it enough to know. What is the lastest greatest alternative rock (my fav. music)? I'll have to get back to you on that. But I can tell you as of now what my fav. songs are. Of course later they might change.
One of my favorites (and mind you I don't nessecarily keep up with music as I should so these could be old songs) is Such Great Heights by The Postal Service. I was thinking the band no longer existed as The Postal Service as a matter of fact but I now read the truth. What I had been thinking the whole time is that they had to change their name because the US Postal Service didn't like their name being used so they changed their name to Death Cab for Cutie. I like Death Cab for Cutie but they only have the singer from The Postal Service so it makes it two seperate bands with the same vocalist. Here's something else which clears things up from Wikipedia: "After negotiations, the USPS relented, allowing the band use of the trademark in exchange for promotional efforts on behalf of the USPS and a performance at their annual National Executive Conference. Additionally, the USPS website sells the band's CDs." And in case your wondering what kind of music they play, well they play electronic indie pop. I found out about them from a co-worker where I last worked. She had some good taste in music and that was one of them. When she played the CD I recognized the song Such Great Heights (don't know where from). I want to get their CD but the music store I go to can't get CD's from Sub Pop Records which is the record company who makes the PS CDs. Anyways, you can download their song for free as I did on limewire. Can you believe that? We shouldn't download music for free right but then the music store can't get me the CD so what choice do I have? I have no other option but to go the illegal way. Well maybe their are other options but I haven't looked into it. But you might want to hear that song and see if it is as good to you as it is to me. It kinda makes you wanna dance or just lift your spirits somehow?

Well, 2 b honest, I'm not into indie .... electronic indie pop? hmmm ... well, when I get my own internet connection (going 2 da internet cafe sucks), I'll probably download it just to know how it sounds like ... You're listening to U2 18 now, huh? I was thinking of getting that ... not exactly a U2 fan, but they're fighting for a good cause, aren't they? So that's a good enough reason to buy their CD ... Well, what works for their image works for their music as well ....

Yeah, I know your into classical music and stuff like Weezer. So what do you think of The Killers? Or Muse? They are coming here. I wouldn't mind going but don't know if I'd actually want to spend the money and don't know who I'd go with. Sorry I haven't replied to you here in a while btw.
Do you know much of the U2 songs? If so then you should buy the CD as I suppose it's worth it. I didn't know they were fighting for a good cause though. I think my next CD to get when I can actually spend the money is Muse.
